My Story

Hi, I am Sara! I am a content creator and graphic designer for SchoolAIT. I am very honored to be a part of this team and to be entrusted with creating the visual presence and message that represents SchoolAIT! As a past graduate and currently practicing equine bodyworker it is deeply meaningful to me to promote this school and what it represents. I love taking Kim’s words and our team’s ideas out into social media and beyond! My career background is in graphic design and architectural design, so to be able to use my skills for the love of horses is like a dream come true!

I have lived in Hawaii for the past 25 years on the North Shore of the island of Oahu. I came here as a surfer girl but found the call to horses pretty much irresistible when we moved to a new location and my daily drive took me past a professional barn with 30 horses that eventually (magically) I became a part of. This opportunity changed the trajectory of my life, and my desire to turn my passion for horses and healing into purpose led me to pursue an equine bodywork certification with the School of Applied Integrative Therapy and NBCAAM Certification in 2022. My business is called Pacific Equine…that may seem too literal given I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! But a lesser-known definition of the word pacific is “peaceful in character or intent.” And that is what I aim to bring to my work for horses.

I currently juggle my SchoolAIT design work, Pacific Equine clients, and help my husband when needed in his business as an established General Contractor. The North Shore is often considered the surfing capital of the world, so it’s safe to say yes, we all surf in my family (my husband, 13 year old son and myself) and enjoy the ocean lifestyle. We are also blessed to live on the historic Dillingham Ranch in Mokule’ia surrounded by horses and cattle, wild pigs, peacocks, (way too) many pets, and just down the road are my grown children plus two grandbabies who make my life complete!
